Dogs Over Power Ohio State 7-2

UMD outshot "The" Ohio State 45-14 in winning the 7-2 in a lopsided game.

Iya Gavrilova got another goal (her 8th), Sarah O'Toole (4th and 5th) and Heidi Pelttari (2nd and 3rd) each had 2 goals 1 assist for UMD. Saara Tuominen (9th goal) with 1 goal 2 assists, and Kim Martin assited on O'toole's goal that opened the game.

Ohio State started to take slashes and hit Kim Martin at times in the second period, and with the game pretty much at hand, Coach Miller replaced Martin with just over 12 minutes to go in the second period.

UMD's defense played good for almost all of the game, but gave up two bad goals, one where the defender stuck her stick out to block a shot and tipped the puck at the point of the shot and it went over Johanna Ellison's shoulder...and the other a defensive turnover that led to a breakaway for OSU that Ellison had no chance on. Other than those two instances it'd be hard to find anything that didn't go well Saturday.
