Dogs Shut Out Gophers 5-0!

Kim Martin stopped all 50 Gopher shots, 27 of them in the second period (both UMD team records) to shut out the Gophers 5-0! UMD spent most of the second period in the penalty box, leading to the barrage of shots Martin faced. The Gophers hit at LEAST 4 pipes/crossbars during the game.. that's why they call the goalpost "goaltender's best friend."

The five goal scorers for UMD were Myriam Trepanier, Karine Demeule, Saara Tuominen, Elin Holmlov, and Emmanuelle Blais. Tuominen picked up 2 assists with her goal, and Holmlov assisted on Tuominen's goal. Iya Gavrilova got 2 assists while Hailey Irwin and Jaime Rasmussen each scored one assist as well.
