Same post as I made on USCHO.com since I was at the men's game and didn't hear details of the game besides what's on collegehockeystats.net
Riitta Schaublin got another shutout as the Dogs win 2-0. At the men's game they announced it was 1-0 going into the 3rd period.
Judging from the game stats, it was one heck of an UGLY hockey game. UMD took 12 penalties for 24 minutes and SCSU took 10 for 23. UMD finished the game shorthanded 5 on 3 but managed to get through that unscaved.
SCSU's Danielle Hirsch took a 5 minute cross checking major.. it's not listed if there's a Game DQ or not though.
Jill Sales got 1st star for her game winning goal in the 2nd period. Koizumi got 2nd star and Riitta's shutout on the road earned her the 3rd star.
Hopefully someone who may have been at the game has more information, especially as to the cross checking major.
